Walnut Creek

Walnut Creek was established when the Southern Pacific Railroad came through the area in the late 1800's. The original ranches and walnut orchards have been replaced with a modern city and cultural center that remembers it's humble beginnings. The Train no longer runs through town...the tracks replaced with the Iron Horse Trail regional trail. Enjoyed by runners, bike riders or folks walking their dogs. Shop Broadway Plaza, take in a show at the Lesher Center, or take B.A.R.T. into San Francisco. All this is yours in Walnut Creek.
